Book Review: Preppy: The Life and Death of Samuel Clearwater, Part Two

Title: Preppy: The Life and Death of Samuel Clearwater, Part Two

Author: TM Frazier

Rating: 5 stars

Preppy’s back and his back with a vengeance.

“You were never a law follower either but I never expected you to not listen to the laws of nature. You know. Life and death and all that. Most people don’t come back from that.”

“I’m not most people.”

“That I know.”

Preppy is a character I have loved for a long time and since he was discovered alive I couldn’t be happier. When Dre comes back to Logan’s Beach to get closure after losing Preppy she is shocked to find out that he is alive and that they’re ‘married’. Dre is in town until she can sell her Grandmother’s house as a way to repay her Dad for helping her out with rehab and school. Meanwhile Preppy has a lot to catch up on and is struggling with his past and adjusting back into normal life.
I loved seeing Preppy, King and Bear (plus Ray and Thia) all together again and loved their unwavering support for their friend. Preppy and Dre end up finding their way back together and offer each other some much needed support.

“I was lost,” I said, breathlessly, not exactly sure what I was trying to say, although Dre seemed to understand. She gripped my arm tighter. “You were, but I found you.”

There were many new surprises along the way and the journey was thoroughly enjoyable albeit sometimes painful. That ending though, just when you thought everything was right your suck into a false sense of security. Can’t wait until the next book in the Preppy trilogy.

I love TM Frazier and all her books are amazing and addicting. It was so great to catch up with all the gang again. Preppy and Dre’s love story is one of a kind and unforgettable.

Loved it.
