Book Review: Highlander Most Wanted

Title: Highlander Most Wanted

Author: Maya Banks

Rating: 4.5 stars

The story starts off where Never Seduce a Scot ended. The Montgomerys and Armstrongs are finially at peace with each other and together they take revenge for Ian and Patrick McHugh did to Eveline. Ian kidnapped her and kept her hostage, luckily as we know from the last book Eveline was saved before anything to disastrous could happen. but now there is the issue of what to do with the McHugh clan now that they are without a Laird. So the Montgomerys and Armstrongs, led by Bowen, Teague, Adien and Brodie join forces to work out all the details.

Once they arrive they find that Patrick has already fled and those who are left are mainly women and children. The woman, Genevieve McInnis who helped point out where Eveline was hidden is now acting as peace keeper for all those who are left.

Genevieve has been kept captive by Ian McHugh, manipulating and hurting her in the worst possible way. Even leaving a scar upon her face. Bowen has been left in charge and can’t help but find Genevieve intriguing. He is drawn to her and is able to see past the scar on her face.

Bowen is such a caring man and acts as champion for Genevieve, as she is not treated kindly by the McHugh clan but can’t face the disgrace in going back to her family who thinks she’s dead. He wants nothing more than to make Genevieve happy and gives her the freedom she has been longing for.

But their journey is not an easy one as they must overcome many obstacles to be together. The story was captivating, sweet and romantic and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am looking forward to the next installment when it comes out.
