Flint isn’t in a good place at the moment. He’s hurt and more than just physically after an accident sees him with the possibility he may never walk again. He is pushing away those who love him and although he loves his brothers and can’t stand to be around them at the moment. He is in love with someone he can’t have and it’s devastating. So he gets away for awhile to sort out all his feelings of hurt and guilt.

 

Then he meets Ash Mabie, and things start to change. Ash hasn’t had the best upbringing and has a crappy family. She hasn’t really had anyone to turn to before Flint. She knows his special and able to see the man behind the mask. Ash and Flint really balance each other out and make each other happy.

 

But their relationship isn’t smooth sailing. Flint really needs to prove himself to Ash after being a bit of a jerk. But he knows he has found someone special in Ash. Ash is a little wary at first but she can’t deny her feelings.

 

“I will not let you go again. You belong with me. And I will do whatever I have to do in order to keep you. I fucked up the first time. I won’t do it again. You can walk out that door, but know that I will find you.”
