Book Review: My Sister’s Intended

Title: My Sister’s Intended

Author: Rachael Anderson

Rating: 5 stars

This book was utterly delightful and I was so excited to read this book. I loved Rachael’s Tanglewood series so I knew this was probably a book that I would love and I was right. This book made me so happy, the story was engaging and it made my romantic heart sing.

Prudence is a romantic at heart and dreams of finding love. She is always reading romance novels which often gets her in trouble with her mother. She often comes up with creative ways to read new books. She is currently working on writing her own romance novel that finds her in some very interesting situations.

Her sister is set to marry their neighbor Lord Knave who has recently come back home. The marriage will unite the two families and is what everyone wants but Prudence can’t stand to see in her sister Sophia in a loveless marriage so she offers her help.

Prudence first thinks that Lord knave or Brand lives up to his name but soon finds herself mistaken. So when she meets him unexpectedly she offers to help him court her sister who doesn’t open up to her intended. They come with an arrangement where they will help each other, him with her sister and she with research for her novel about what a man thinks about first looking upon a women and such.

The interaction between Prudence and Brand was pure magic. Brand had such a kind nature that played perfectly into Prudence’s whims. There were plenty of clandestine meetings, research , questions and answers all combined with the best banter made for a great read. These meetings between the two see them developing feelings for each other. But some complications must first be taken care of.

I loved this book. It was the perfect amount of sweetness and romance filled with swoon worthy characters. I had to read this book all at once because I couldn’t put it down. I really enjoy Rachael’s Regency Romances and I find them to be utterly charming. I can’t wait to read Abby and Sophie’s stories next.
