Book Review: Up In Smoke

Title: Up In Smoke

Author: T.M. Frazier

Rating: 5 stars

Up In Smoke is an action-packed dark romance filled with passion, heat, intrigue filled with my favourite characters from the King series. Although Up In Smoke can be read as a stand-alone, I recommend starting at the very beginning.

Smoke is on a mission and will stop at nothing to get revenge on the person who killed someone he cared about. He is a career criminal, armed and ready to destroy anything that gets in his way. This is when he comes across Frankie Helburn, the daughter of the man he seeks. He kidnaps Frankie in a hope to draw the father out of hiding.

“This might be the first time I’ve ever been kidnapped. But I’ve been a prisoner for years.”

But Frankie isn’t at all like he was expecting. Frankie isn’t an easy target, she’s intelligent, sassy and gives Smoke a run for his money. As Frankie and Smoke get to know each other, a spark is ignited and an attraction grows. These two are explosive together and I loved seeing them together.

These two have been through so much in their past that you wanted them to be happy. But not everything is as it seems and there were many twists and turns that I didn’t see coming and always kept you on the edge of your seat. Plus it was great getting to catch up with the gang.

I love this series and I love anything by TM Frazier. There is a reason she is one of my favourite authors. I had a lot of expectations for this story and they were all met and exceeded. I can’t wait for Nine’s story (Preppy’s brother). Anything by Frazier is gold.
