Title: How to Date a Douchebag: The Coaching Hours
Author: Sara Ney
Rating: 4 stars
This is the final installment in the ‘How to Date a Douchebag‘ series and I have really enjoyed it. These books have been fun, entertaining and filled with unexpected romances. Although in this book the main character is not a douchebag.
The book is about the daughter of the coach of the wrestling team. She is a transfer student and the coach has a few rules for his players… the main one being no dating his daughter. Most of the players heed this rule but there are two that just can’t help themselves and they make a bet. But Anabelle finds out about the bet and decides to teach these douchebags a lesson.
The hero of this book is a bit ambiguous in the beginning but it soon becomes clear. They meet in the library where she sits in his favourite spot. They get to talking and then he is helping her when she needs it as she confided in him about the bet.
Soon they become roommates as Anabelle is looking at moving out of her father’s house. These two develop a friendship and soon become best friends. A slow-burn romance starts between the two but circumstances make their situation complicated.
The hero is one of those ‘nice guys’ and he is very sweet. I really enjoyed this friends/roommates to lovers storyline. It was also great seeing some of the other characters from the series as well. Plus there were some characters that in the beginning I didn’t like but soon came to love.
This series has been a lot of fun and has been a great read. The characters have been enjoyable to read.
