This year has been a very good year for makeup. My goal is to ultimately go all natural with my cosmetics after reading about all the harmful ingredients in a lot of my favourite products. I have found a few good brands like Wild Nature and Nude by Nature that offer the types of products I want and happen to be Australian which is an added bonus.
But because I own a lot of makeup this will be a slow transition but for now I want to use a lot of my makeup up and still enjoy many of these products. I have come across my perfect foundation for the year but many of the products are products I have loved for a while. I have broken everything down into face, cheeks, eyes and lips to make everything easier.
So here is breakdown of all my makeup favourites for the year!
Number 1 is The Wild Nature Mineral Liquid Foundation in light- my favourite foundation as it looks the nicest on my skin and lasts all day- plus it has the added bonus of being all natural.
Number 2 is the Nude by Nature Flawless Foundation in the shade N3 Almond (I also mix it with the shade N2 Classic Beige for the perfect colour fit). The foundation is really nice and lasts well on my skin, but not quite as well as the Wild Nature.
Number 3 is the Wild Nature Fair Powder Foundation in the No.2. This works well over the foundation and is great if you just want some light coverage.
Number 4 is the Nude by Nature Liquid Mineral Concealer in the shade medium and Number 5 is the same in the shade light. I like using the light shade under my eyes and anywhere I want to highlight and I like mixing the two together to cover anything else. Number 6 is the Nude by Nature Flawless Concealer in the shade Porcelain Beige. I like using this anywhere where I need it.
Number 7 is the Nude by Nature Airbrush Mineral Primer it comes out as clear and works as a great as a base before foundation. Number 8 is the Smashbox Photo Filter Powder Foundation in the shade 01 Natural Vanilla, it works well as a setting powder that offers just that tiny bit of extra coverage.
Number 1 is the Becca highlight in Moonstone and Number 2 is the Becca highlight in Champagne Pop. Becca was one of the first highlighters I used and I have love them ever since.
Number 3,4 and 5 is the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette. This is one of my all time favourite makeup products and is perfect when I want a more natural makeup look. Number 6, 7 and 8 is from a limited edition Christmas palette from Laura Mercier. This palette like the Hourglass is great for natural looks.
Number 9 and 10 is from the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow. This is one of my favourite makeup products from Charlotte Tilbury with the perfect bronzer and highlighter.
Number 11 is a limited editon blush from M.A.C. in the shade Cheek Pollen. I love a good natural blush as it goes with absolutely everything. Number 12 is Well Dressed from M.A.C. and Number 13 is a limited edition blush from Nars in the Shade Impassioned. This is a lovely blush pink colour and is great for everyday and goes with everything.
Numbers 1-5 is the Becca Ombre Rouge Eye Palette. This is a great everyday matte eyeshadow palette.
Numbers 6-9 is the Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow Palette in The Golden Goddess. I love this golden bronze palette and makes for the perfect eye look.
Number 10 is M.A.C eyeshadow in Woodwinked. This is one of my favourite single eyeshadows. I also love to pair it with Number 11, the Burberry eyeshadow in the shade Pale Barley.
Number 12 is the Kat Von D Beauty Tattoo Liner in Mad Max Brown. I love a good liquid liner in brown and this one is great. I love the brush tip applicator and gets a very precise line. Number 13 is the NYX Micro Brow Pencil in the shade Chocolate. This is a great, affordable brow pencil and I always pair it with Number 14, the Too Faced Brow Quickie Brush-On Brow Fiber Gel in the shade Taupe. This combination is my go-to for my brows.
Number 15 is the Nude by Nature Contour Eye Pencil in the shade 04 Sunrise. I like to use this in my waterline. Number 16 is the Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick in the shade Sand Dune. This is great for a quick eyeshadow look or when I want just something simple.
Number 1 is the Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in the shade Dolce Vita. This is one of my favourite lipstick formulas as it lasts all day and even sticks around after food and drink. This is a great versatile and subtle red that goes with many outfits, and Number 2 is the Nars Lipstick in the shade Dolce Vita, this is a sheer lipstick and is my go-to when I want a quick lip. Number 3 is the Marc Jacobs Beauty New Nudes Sheer Gel Lipstick in the shade Role Play. This is a lovely shade and the formula is very nice.
Number 4 is the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution in the Shade Pillow Talk. This is the perfect neutral pink and I love to pair it with Number 5, the Charlotte Tilury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk.
Number 6 is the YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Oil in Stick in the Shade 44 Nude Lavalliere. This is a very pretty pink that comes in super cute packaging. Number 7 is the Nars Lipstick in the limited edition shade Rosecliffe. Number 8 is the Marc Jacobs Beauty New Nudes Sheer Gel Lipstick in the shade Anais. This is a great nude lipstick.
Number 9 is the Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in the shade Sex Machine. This is my perfect pink and the ultimate My Lips But Better. Number 10 is the Nars Velvet Lip Glide in the shade Stripped. This is a great pinky nude and I often wear it with the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk. Number 11 is the Dior Addict Lip Glow, it’s a lip balm that changes with your PH to give you the perfect pink. I like to wear this one days that I wear minimal makeup as it gives the perfect glow to the lips.
