Book Review: The Outpost

Title: The Outpost

Author: Devney Perry

Rating: 4.25 stars

Sabrina is a journalist who is in danger after one of her stories deals with a prominent crime family in the mafia. She exposed their illegal dealings and now they are after her, including the guy she was dating was one of the bad men. She was undercover and when he discovers the truth, he beats her. Therefore, Sabrina flees to Prescott, Montana where her best friend lives. A plan is made for Sabrina to go ‘off-grid’ at an Outpost in the mountains and Beau will be going to protect her.

Sabrina and Beau spend a lot of time together alone at the Outpost getting to know each other better- once they are ready to open up. Their is an attraction there, but there is a lot going on in their lives. Beau is looking for forever and not a fling and he knows when all this is over, Sabrina will be moving back to the city.

I loved watching Sabina and Beau grow closer and they were so great together. Beau was the ultimate good guy and I loved him. He was caring, responsible, and kind. Sabina has so much inner strength as she really grows throughout the novel. She has to come to terms with her past and how she got into her current situation.

This series is filled with a lot of romance and a bit of suspense. All the books so far have been fantastic and I can’t wait to read Maisy’s story.
