Book Review: The Hot Shot

Title: The Hot Shot

Author: Kristen Callihan

Rating: 4 stars

Chess is a photographer and is shooting a football charity calendar where she meets Finn. She feels a connection to Finn although she doesn’t want to. Finn is relentless and is determined to become a friend to Chess. Chess is a little reluctant at first but after a while the two share a real friendship.

When Chess loses her apartment, Finn offers for her to stay with him and they become roommates. Finn has real feelings for Chess but has always presented himself a bit of a layer (which he has been in the past) and needs to convince Chess of his intentions.

I really enjoyed Chess and Finn’s relationship and the slow burn from friends to lovers was very well done. Finn has been one of favourite character from this series, he was such a delight. Overall it was a great and enjoyable read.
