I’m an 20-something fangirl who loves many things. I love all things Jane Austen and the Lizzie Bennet Diaries. I’m a hopeless romantic and a bookworm. I love fairy tales, makeup, vintage, romance, tea, music, classic and period films, fashion and bow ties.

  1. I’ve read one of the largest book written in the English language (Clarissa by Samuel Richardson)
  2. I like to categorise my favourite books based on what century they were written in (18th– 21st centuries)
  3. My ultimate favourite book that will never change, no matter how many books I have read is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (inspiring the name of my blog) and Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
  4. I don’t like licking yogurt lids
  5. My favourite actor is Laurence Olivier
  6. I love classic movies from the 1930s, 40s and 50s
  7. I love gothic literature
  8. My favourite poems are The Lady of shallot by Alfred Lord Tennyson, Bright Star Would I Were Steadfast as Thou Art by John Keats and Good Morrow by John Donne (the last two I know off by heart and the first I used to know off by heart but can now only remember six or seven stanzas)
  9. My favourite quote comes from John Keats Endymion: “A thing of beauty is a joy forever: Its loveliness increases; it will never pass into nothingness.”
  10. I have seen almost every screen adaption of Jane Austen (a few I haven’t been
    able to get my hands on yet)
  11. I love watching every adaption of my favourite classic books
  12. My favourite colour is blue (I like duck egg and periwinkle blues the best)
  13. My top five favourite flowers are roses, peonies, daisies, ranunculus, and tulips
  14. My favourite TV series is Outlander
  15. I was obsessed with The Lizzie Bennet Diaries (a modern adaption of Pride and Prejudice for the internet)
  16. My favourite animals are wolves and foxes
  17. The movie that I think has perfect casting is Gone with the Wind (Vivien Leigh is perfect as Scarlett O’Hara, and Clark Gable makes a great Rhett Butler)
  18. I love baking
  19. Some of my favourite actresses include Vivien Leigh, Audrey Hepburn, and Marilyn Munroe
  20. I love Shakespeare
  21. ‘Definitely’ is one of my least favourite words to spell
  22. My favourite word is verisimilitude (if you’ve seen The Lizzie Bennet Diaries you’ll understand why)
  23. Waterloo Bridge is the saddest movie I have ever seen
  24. Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma is the book that made me cry the most
  25. I found a true love for reading after reading the Twilight Saga but it wasn’t until I read Romeo and Juliet (which I loved) in school that inspired me to read Pride and Prejudice (which was already a favourite movie of mine) that set me up on my reading journey (and I’ve never looked back)
